for the
purpose of instilling a compliance mentality throughout the organization.
A stronger compliance structure builds the foundation essential for a company entrusted with the
future. Therefore, Kanamoto conducts a variety of activities to raise awareness about compliance.
[Initiatives to Establish Compliance]
- Promotion system
Kanamoto formulated Ethics Guidelines to establish a legal and ethical framework of compliance for the
entire company centered upon the Compliance Committee, which includes outside committee members.
- Compliance handbook
Kanamoto has created and distributes a handbook covering the employee code of conduct. This effort
ensures
every executive and employee take on their duties with the shared awareness about compliance.
In addition to building an environment promoting greater informational sharing, the content of the
handbook
is also published on the intranet as an employee awareness-raising effort.
- Compliance hotline
Kanamoto has launched a compliance hotline as a contact point to consult and report on unlawful or
inappropriate actions from both inside and outside of the company to actively strengthen the
compliance
system. Anyone can use this program if unsure about a decision when executing duties according to
Kanamoto
code of conduct, or if they suspect another employee has acted inappropriately.
Of course, Kanamoto carefully handles all of the information so that every whistleblower remains
anonymous.
